Admitted pedophile blogger Jack McClellan plans to be at the Rose Festival parade tomorrow. He's been experiencing a degree of what he describes as harassment by the Portland Police over the last few weeks, the latest example of which is documented on his blog:

In closing, I think the cops' behavior toward me today crossed the line from protecting the public from "clear and present danger" into harassing an individual for exercising his free-speech rights to espouse controversial thoughts and ideas (remember, I've never been convicted or even charged with any sex offense against a child -- all I've said is that I would have non-coital sexual contact with prepubescent girls if it was legal and consensual.
AND WHAT'S CONTROVERSIAL ABOUT THAT, JACK? Oh, yeah. I see. That IS a little controversial, really. I suppose.
That may make some people uncomfortable of my presence at public events, but the authorities have no more right to exclude me for this reason than they would excluding African-Americans or Latinos because they make some people nervous as well. I suspect this isn't going to be the end of the Portland Police Bureau's heavy-handed treatment of me, so if anyone can offer legal council or advice on potential lawsuits, write to me at the e-mail address at the top of this page.
McClellan says he's concerned the police may try to "do something" to him at the parade tomorrow, "it feels like they'll do anything just to get to me," he says. This is what he looks like, by the way.
