Hey! It's the one year anniversary of Caffe Umbria tomorrow. To celebrate, they're selling any coffee drink for a crisp one dollar bill (but I'm sure they'll take the wrinkled ones too.) That's right Mr. Shaky Hands, that quad soy gingerbread latte is all yours for just one dollar. The proceeds will go to help support Taste of the Nation. Kicking off on April 27th, Taste of the Nation is a major Portland food festival that includes just about every big name eatery in the city. Think of it as the Bite of Oregon with better food and way more pretentiousness. But hey, I'm all for pretentiousness when proceeds are going to various charities around town doing their damnedest to keep Oregon fed, and maybe pull us out of that "third hungriest state" ranking that hangs around our precious foodie necks like a decaying Albatross.

Now, I've not been to Caffe Umbria yet. But I do love that their coffee blends are from Bizzarri family recipes. I wish I had a cool Italian surname like Bizzarri. I'd roast all sorts of stuff. Yeah, coffee too.

But I digress! Help them help Taste of the Nation help charities help end hunger.
