Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services politely informs the city of Portland that while raw, human sewage is no longer actively flowing into Cedar Creek, swimming in the creek is highly discouraged.

Crews discovered sewage overflowing from a manhole into the northwest Portland creek last Thursday, July 9. They traced the overflow to a blocked sewage pipe, which had been overflowing for an estimated two days.
