Tonight at Reed College, poet, art critic, and essayist Bill Berkson reads in support of Portrait and Dream: New and Selected Poems, Ted Berrigan, and Sudden Address: Selected Lectures 1981-2006. That's at Eliot Hall, Room 314, 6:30 pm, free.

There's a slightly racier lineup at the downtown Powell's: Rachel Kramer Bussell, editor of Best Sex Writing 2010, and collection contributor Kerry Cohen, who wrote a decent memoir about her own history of promiscuity. (Here's Jezebel's review of the collection.) 7:30 pm, you know where to go.

And just FYI, I discovered after Wells Towers' reading last week that the new bar at Rocco's makes a great post-Powell's drinking spot, for people who... you know. Like to drink after they do activities. I've never been a particular fan of the pizza joint, but the bar's a little nicer than I'd expected, and BONUS, there's a happy hour from 2-7 pm with $2.50 wells and $3 pints. (I know the Barfly link says 3-7 pm, pretty sure it's wrong.)
