VISUAL ART:
Two short art reviews this week: Ned tackles The Art of Joelle Jones at Floating World, and Jane weighs in on the two photographers hanging at Blue Sky.
BOOKS:
Raquel reviews the work of a few authors who'll be reading at Powells' Smallpressapalooza, a 5-hour marathon celebration of small press publishing.
I say very nice things about Jillian Weise's idiosyncratic, genre-blurring debut novel The Colony.
THEATER:
defunkt's challenging production of Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis was quite well-received by the Oregonian and the Willamette Week, and quite poorly received by me. I found it self-serious and frustrating. They found it "darkly disturbing" and "lovely and terribly sad." Feel free to tell me why I'm wrong, but I didn't get it.
