Real news stories are usually pretty depressing. Fake news stories make light of the depressing nature of real news stories and try to make us laugh. The Onion News Network has been doing a great job dominating the fake-news-video scene since 2007. Seriously, their videos are extremely funny and smart and I highly recommend watching them all.

Another (older, British) fake news show also deserves your attention. Brass Eye aired only a single season run of six episodes in 1997 and a special "Paedogeddon!" episode (exactly what it sounds like) in 2001. Brass Eye is a truly amazing show and if you have a few minutes, watch some clips on Youtube. Stop worrying about depressingly real environmental disasters like pelicans covered in oil from the BP Gulf spill and start worrying about fake environmental disasters like Bad Clouds.
