The Columbian has the breaking news that Vancouver's Deputy Prosecutor will file felony theft charges against Bethany Storro, the woman who faked an acid attack on herself three weeks ago.

Storro was clearly struggling with suicidal thoughts. From the story:

"Then, when I realized it wasn't killing me, I thought maybe this was the answer to all my problems. To have a completely different face," she said according to an affidavit filed Monday in Clark County Superior Court... Last week, Vancouver police Cmdr. Marla Schuman said Storro is "extremely upset."

"She is very remorseful. In many ways this is something that just got bigger than what she expected."

The felony theft charges stem from the charitable account Storro's Safeway coworkers set up for her after the alleged attack.
