People. I'm all for multitasking. But really? This has gotta stop!

Come on you little shit, were late for trivia!

This isn't the actual picture of the person I saw riding their bike while walking their dog this morning, but I needed to show an image so everyone could see, and hopefully agree, that this is an incredibly stupid thing to do, and it has to stop.

Three scenarios that makes this so achingly stupid:

1) It is unsafe for you. What if your dog suddenly sees a a squirrel that it wants to chase and torment? Whelp, there goes your nice morning bike ride. And here comes your broken rib, or at best, your skinned up hands and knees.

2) Not only does it put your dog in great danger but it is so SO unfair to them. What if a car comes out of nowhere and you suddenly have to slam the breaks? Is your dog going to always have the same insight as you and know that it is time to stop running and not get hit by a 4,000 pound piece of metal? I'm willing to bet that at least 50% of the time, a dog will keep running.

3) It's unsafe for other people as well! I don't even think you need me to explain why at this point. Just picture walking to get your morning coffee and suddenly being trip wired by a cyclist and the leash that is attached to their dog.

Now apparently there is a product out there that makes this activity a little less dangerous for rider and canine, but even so, and stop me if I'm in the wrong here Blogtownies (I know you will), this has got to be one of dumbest things you can do while on your bicycle. Case made. Now discuss.
