Are we supposed to take Rick Santorum's word for the fact that he has gay friends? Gay friends who don't mind that he opposes their right to serve in the military, wants to prevent them from marrying, doesn't think they should be allowed to adopt or have any civil rights protections at all, felt the Supreme Court was wrong to decide that gay people could have sex without being arrested and charged with a crime? Gay friends who don't mind when compares their relationships to dog fucking and child rape?

I'd like to meet these gays. And if Santorum's gay friends love Santorum as much as Santorum loves his gay friends, well, I'm sure they would be only too delighted to speak to the media about their love of Santorum. And...

Gee, no one wants to be a homophobe anymore, not even Rick Santorum. But if you believe—as Santorum has said over and over again—that gay people are a threat to the family and a danger to the country, as well as a threat to our own children, shouldn't you find us scary? Someone who believes, or claims to believe, the shit Santorum has said about gay people should be openly and proudly homophobic. So either Santorum is lying when he says we're a threat to the family, etc., or he's lying when he says he has gay friends.

Which is it, Rick?
