Fire up the Xbox Live Marketplace and you'll find a new addition: the demo for Atlus' upcoming erotic horror adventure puzzle thing, Catherine.

I don't want to spoil the game's plot — mostly because I'm still trying to figure out what "erotic horror adventure puzzle thing" actually means — but I will say with total certainty that of all the games you play in 2011, none will surpass Catherine for sheer quantity of "anthropomorphic sheep as sexual metaphor."

I'm going to show you a trailer for the thing, but before you watch this clip, let me just say that no, I don't really know what's going on here either. I think the sheep represent man's tendency toward infidelity, but otherwise I'm as baffled as you are.

In theory we should have some answers when the game hits retail at the end of the month, but I almost prefer the uncertainty. Sometimes a sheep is just a sheep, but until Atlus says otherwise, I'm going to assume that the sheep are also fluffy penises.
