The pastel pinks and blues in that image to the right might almost make you think for a split second of day-glo tropical pop, but a closer look reveals it's much more akin to the snowy look of an iceberg: glacially cool and dripping wet, with the sun hitting it from very low angles. And Great Wilderness' new song, "The Enemy"—the single for which that's the cover image—certainly sounds closer to echoing glaciers than any sort of trop-pop. It's a striking, resonant piece with a chilly but completely involving sound. Great Wilderness has made "The Enemy" available for free download only until Thursday; they're headlining the Doug Fir tomorrow night to celebrate the single's release, their first show with an updated lineup. You can listen to the streaming track below, and go over to Bandcamp to download it.
