I'm going to have to start posting these previews earlier, cuz this Saturday's bout is sold the eff out. Granted the Hangar doesn't hold a whole lotta peeps, but the fact is your hometown roller derby gals on the Rose City Rollers are pretty damned popular. Saturday's game is a face-off between everyone's butt-rock sweethearts the Guns N Rollers who are taking on last year's champs the Break Neck Betties. They're playing each other for the first time this season, and both crews have equal wins and losses. What I'm trying to say here is that it's going to be a whopper of a game, and anyone's win. Didn't grab your tickets in time? Head on down to Oaks Park for Friday's game—it's a fundraiser for the Heartless Heathers so they're not selling advance tix—where you can watch some crazy Canucks from Vancouver, BC, take on our ice queens the Heartless Heathers. Watch out for those Canadians, Heathers, too much Molson Ice turns a lady fierce.
