Cameron Whitten, now on Day 22 of a housing-justice-themed hunger strike outside city hall, texted me late last night to say he wound up as a discussion topic on this terrible and strange internet rabbit hole of white-pride hate. This morning, I was pointed to an Occupy Portland Media Collective video in which Whitten shares his thoughts about his discovery:

"That's racist."

But beyond calling out racists, the video also supplies a concise re-statement of Whitten's aims—a good way to take some sour lemons and turn them into some kind of lemonade. (Which, technically, Whitten could still consume and enjoy.)

This rain isn't making it any easier to not feel miserable. I think I need some more coffee before braving another day of gloomy headlines and writing up Good Morning, News. Ugh.
