It's not often that I'm a fan of an author when I haven't read any of her books, but when it comes to Jo Walton, that's totally the case. After Alison wouldn't shut up about how much she loved Among Others, I've had it sitting in my to-read pile for months, but, shamefully, haven't gotten to it yet. And when Walton read a while back at Powell's Cedar Hills, she was smart and charming and sweet and kind and great. AND Walton's posts on Tor.com are an excellent resource for anyone who's even remotely interested in genre fiction—in addition to spotlighting and deconstructing some of her favorite older books (of which she has a lot), Walton also does things like insanely detailed rereads/breakdowns of Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicle. So: No, I haven't read Among Others yet. But I think Jo Walton is pretty great.

ANYWAY. I'm rambling about all of this because over at io9, they're discussing Among Others and posting questions for Walton—and early tomorrow morning, she'll be swinging by the site to answer as many of 'em as she can. Whether you're in the same boat as me, or whether you loved Among Others and seriously won't just shut up about it already for chrissakes like somebody I could mention, it'll probably be worth your time to swing by io9 tomorrow a.m. to ask some questions and/or read some answers.
