What has 112 wheels and innumerable booty bruises? How's about the all-star Rose City Rollers' roller derby team, the Wheels of Justice! Friday, the pegacorn (pegasus + unicorn)-loving' skaters are taking on the #10-ranked Minnesota RollerGirls out of St. Paul. Both teams are limping from back-to-back losing games in late July at the RollerCon event in Vegas. Minnesota lost three games because of some tough competition from top-ranking teams out of Denver and Philly; while Portland lost two to Denver and Philly, mostly because they were sporting a second-string jammer roster as not all the gals traveled to Vegas. So now our formerly ranked #2 team is sitting at #12. Both teams really want to nail a win on this late-season game. But mostly we're all wondering who will be jamming for Portland. Should be good!

Saturday sees Portland's B-team the Axles of Annihilation share the joint (how was that for a hippie reference?!) with Eugene's all-star roller derby team, the Skatesaphrenics. Who will win that one? Eugene's dirty hippies or Portland's dirty hippies? I kid! I'm sure both teams of hippies have very good hygiene.
