Hahaha Argo-tifacts! I'm sorry.

MOVING ON, if you were one of the too-few people who saw the excellent Argo this weekend, this is pretty great: Wired has a gallery of some of the original "props," for lack of a better word, that the CIA put together to make it look like they were shooting a crappy Star Wars ripoff in Iran when really they were rescuing people and being total badasses. These items include the Argo script, fake business cards, the Hollywood trade publications that erroneously reported that Argo was a real thing, and—coolest of all—concept art by legendary comics creator Jack Kirby. Worth a look, and here's Wired's 2007 story about the operation, which is interesting even though there's not a single mention of Ben Affleck's lustrous beard.
