My favorite post-holiday coping mechanism, the Portland International Film Festival, is almost here, with its official launch party scheduled for February 7 at the Newmark. I was at my first press screening for it yesterday when a kindly PR person working for the NW Film Center slipped me two passes for the opening shindig, which features a reception and screening of Spanish director Pablo Berger's Blancanieves, which looks heart stoppingly beautiful:
However, I'll be wearing one of my other hats that evening to cover a lingerie runway show (poor me), so I've decided to give these passes—worth $30 each (and there will be dranks)—away. To you! If A) You can come down to the Mercury offices at 115 SW Ash to pick them up and B) you email me before 5 today, at which point I'll select a winner at random.
