I adore a lot of the old-timey Las Vegas acts, so I'm super psyched to see director Steven Soderbergh's Behind the Candelabra—an HBO bio-pic about the great Liberace, starring Michael Douglas (!) as Liberace and Matt Damon (!!) as L's much younger alleged lover/chauffeur (!!!) Scott Thorson. It looks like they've nailed Liberace's amazingly baroque style perfectly and both Douglas and Damon seem like they're having a blast. (Sidebar! Did any of you visit the Liberace Museum in Vegas before it closed in 2010? I've been there three times, and it was AH-MAY-ZING!)

Behind the Candelabra debuts on HBO on May 26th, and here's Liberace performing "Boogie Woogie" (the song you just heard in the trailer) for his 1969 TV show, and it kicks all kinds of ass.
