Powell's Books Presents
An Afternoon with Neil Gaiman

Saturday, June 29, 2013, 3 p.m., Crystal Ballroom

April 2, 2013 (Portland, OR) – From one of the world's most beloved storytellers - #1 New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman - comes his first adult novel in eight years. Wondrous and imaginative, and at times deeply scary, The Ocean at the End of the Lane captures the very essence of childhood fear and uncertainty. In a clash of memory and reality, it is a pitched fever dream of a novel, and could very well be Gaiman’s most accomplished work to date.

Note: Ticket price includes admission as well as a hardcover copy of The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Books will be distributed at the event.

Tickets are $36.99 and you can buy 'em here.

(I wish these shows would knock down their ticket price if you, say, present a receipt for the book—or allow you to pick up your book at Powell's in advance. Getting a hard copy of the book makes the ticket price totally reasonable, but I like to read an author's new book before I see them live. Is that just me?)
