One of my most consistent summer pleasures, for years now, has been tromping up and down East Burnside every First Friday of the warmer months. There are a ton of pride-inducing local businesses clustered on that once godforsaken stretch, and many of them are throwing little soirees in conjunction with local art shows and sales events. Next week's August event is no exception—especially since the July edition was somewhat pared down due to the 4th of July holiday, and includes a triple team up on the part of Victory, Summerland, and Haunt, the latter of which is also hosting a photo show and book launch by Miranda Lehman:
