It's time for another Skate-a-Roke! You remember Skate-a-Roke, right?! It's the super fun event where roller skaters combine their love of singing a favorite jam with some jam skating. This go-around, it's a fundraiser for the all-star traveling roller derby team, the Rose City Rollers' Wheels of Justice, so they can travel all over the country to kick other girls' asses. That's a worthy cause. But most importantly, this event is FUN! You get to dance a little dance (on roller skates), sing a little song (on roller skates), and dress a little crazy (again, on roller skates). Definitely dress up (check out Steve's get-up from the very first Skate-a-Roke) and show the world your set of pipes!

INSPIRATION FOR KICK-ASS ROLLER SKATING AND MUSIC (I've been itching to post this video on a roller-skatey event for sooooo long):

This video (albeit an ad) starring roller derby gal Estro Jen of Moxi Roller Skates in California is AMAZEBALLS. The action starts up 40 seconds in. It also really reinforces the beauty of knee pads. Yowch.
