There are so many amazing things about this bootleg DVD cover for True Detective—but I suppose one could start with the observation that none of the action took place in Las Vegas (see the fake Eiffel Tower and Sphinx head of the Luxor in the background). One could also make note of the copious explosions pictured here—though I can't remember a single one from the series. Also, see that weird phoenix-bird-thing in the upper left? WHY IS THAT EVEN THERE? I did a Google image search for it, and it primarily links to a gay leather boot site, though tons of people use it for their avatar. Maybe it was Woody's avatar in True Detective? Maybe Rust Cohle was secretly a leather daddy? I don't know! TOO MANY QUESTIONS!!
