When you park on the street, please take a moment to make sure of your surroundings before you get in or out of your car. It’s really fucking annoying for everyone around when you think it’s ok to open your door as wide as possible. Did you even think about the oncoming traffic? You are making the car drivers swerve over to the next lane to avoid hitting you. You are hitting cyclists with your door. You are making bus drivers slam on the brakes and everyone inside the bus fall over. You are being a self absorbed asshole who doesn’t realize that parking on the street means you have to deal with the traffic around you. So next time you want to get in/out of your car, put your kid in its car seat, say your goodbye to your fellow dining compatriots while trying to get in your car, take a moment to look for oncoming traffic not be such an asshole.
