Your typical thrift store, be it Goodwill, St. Vincent De Paul or William Temple House, is 3/4 filled with women's clothing, shoes and purses. So why is it that the ladies feel compelled to invade and conquer the men's clothing racks as well? Some days I can hardly get to the stuff!

If used clothing shows up in the men's section it's there because 1) a partner threw it out, 2) someone died, or 3) it's trashed in some way that wasn't immediately obvious to the second-hand store employee. Guys don't throw clothing away until it falls off their bodies.

So ladies, have a heart and leave the few pieces of useful clothing that show up in the thrift store on the racks for the guys poor and desperate enough to have to shop there.
