There are bars and grocery stores in this part of town that is full of poverty, and there is nothing "hip" about these areas. I guarantee your shopping at 82nd and Foster Fred Meyer vesus the Hawthorne Fred Meyer will be a very different experience for you.
Or maybe this part of town is too scary or gross for you fucking pussies? So stop saying Portland is only this one type of culture because it's not. Maybe this blog is, but the real world isn't.
