Do you ride Tri-Met very often, around 20 days a month? I see all these people riding with single tickets costing at least $5 a day when a $100 monthly pass takes care of those 20 round-trips making all other rides in that month essentially 'free' and the pass includes the streetcar and the tram. If one rode transit every day in a 31 day month, that's at least $155. I see people hurriedly buying tickets out of a machine as a MAX train approaches or stuffing bills and coins into a bus fare box when a pass might be way less expensive. There seems to be a lot of Tri-Met riders who might qualify for an honored citizen pass who also buy single tickets. Commit yourself to a monthly pass. Money is like energy or time. They all get spent one way or another.
