I sent this to whom it concerns, whoever the fuck that is.

Dear Arts Tax City of Portland,
I find this arts tax to be a joke. It is ridiculous. And I am an artist and a musician. I'm sure people voted for this tax, and I'm sure they either thought it would be helpful for the future of artists, or didn't know what they were voting for. This is a permanent tax. I did not vote for it. And I'm sure people are regretting their vote. Everyone I talk to wants to repeal it. Or everyone I talk to says "artstax?" $35 per person who pays is a lot of money!!! I just looked it up. $7.8 million dollars in year one, and more than 1/3 of taxpayers didn't pay the tax. You have got to be kidding me! Where is it going? What are the benefits? Just more money taken away for a blind cause. I made just over $16,000 last year, and that is $5,000 over the poverty level. I'm broke. I need help with money from family. Please stop screwing us. Please stop taking our money for which we have no proof of benefits. Please stop. With that said, here's my check, for the future, for the kids, for the arts. Where everyone is fucking playing with a fucking computer, or some technological device. Kids in high school these days don't give a shit about art. How is it all going? And that is democracy.
