Why do so many homes and buildings on the West Coast seem so flimsy and cheap? Even old historic homes might as well be made of papier mache with how thin and poorly insulated they are. Newer construction seems to be just thrown up with little consideration to quality materials or aesthetics. Construction in Midwest and Eastern cities seems to be much sturdier and of higher quality. And on top of West Coast buildings being cheap, they cost an arm and a leg!
