i don't understand why kanye gets so much grief for his megalomaniacal statements vs. jay-z or lil wayne. megalomania is a standard hiphop trope. i'm also confused how anyone who was there for the kanye monologue could just recapitulate the same old media narrative without even referencing it. i'm pretty sure the hologram chick was from thx 1138. can anyone confirm/deny?
