This is really exciting. Council was hoping to sneak the resolutions past because the truth is, MAX policing by other jurisdictions is full of holes in terms of oversight and contracts.

To have to get a group together to discuss this? There's no way there'll be able to support the fudgey status quo. Citizens are going to win. Democracy prevails.

Let's also not forget that the MAX line receives federal grant money for policing of the line based on the number of security personnel patrolling it. They are under reporting to the fed's the real numbers and over inflating the need for security on the line, thereby filing fraudulently for grant money. Someone will eventually go to jail for this.
