For X-Files fans on a budget: the Multnomah County Library has all episodes.

Did any other Merc readers gather at Acapulco's Gold on NW Vaughn on Sunday nights to watch the show?

A favorite episode of mine not in the Revelations set is The Unnatural. A post-Roswell, NM alien hides from a bounty hunter by playing in the Negro Baseball League.

I'd forgotten about that episode. That one was great! Killer title, too.

The Unnatural was also Duchovny's directorial debut, right? (maybe not debut.)

Thanks for the review!

They should have replaced Memento Mori with (Season 4) Home - about the demented in-breeders. That episode was usually the top viewer pick during the marathons.

Also, it would have been cool to have the Mulder lost in the Bermuda Triangle, stuck on a German boat episode. They do some fun things in that one. Actually, there's a bunch from that season (season after the movie) that were awesome.

I always liked the episodes that were creepy and funny. Season four had the "Small Potatoes" episode where the janitor at the fertility clinic was impregnating the clients. Towards the end, he morphs into Mulder and tries to seduce scully. That was always one of my favorites. Mmmmmm . . . . Agent Scully.

I'm just happy they didn't overlook Clive Bruckman's Final Repose, one of the five or so best hours of TV ever. It stands so far above the X-Files in general as to feel like a different show, possibly one from a much nicer parallel universe, where little kids all grow up idolizing TV writers.

And that is why "Walking in Memphis" is my feel good song. To this day, I get giddy when it's on the radio. I remember watching that in my living room and having to squeal into my pillow, lest my parents know what a freak I was. Ha!
Hard to whittle the series to 8 best. Always loved Dreamland. Watching David Duchovny as Michael McKean's character is pure delight.

Hey I found a dope X-files trailer cut by one of composers who actually worked on the original X-files movie trailer. You need to see the version he came up with. I like this one better than the one Fox released. Here is the link. http://www.vergefilms.com/xfiles.html
