Kinda neat, but I feel like only serious nerds like myself even know the names of the actual neighborhoods in Portland. (Am I wrong?) Plus, the official Portland neighborhoods don't much take into account the real divisions that actually make up the city. (Seriously, there are over 90 of them. Can you think of 90 distinct neighborhoods of Portland?) They clearly tried to cram on all the official neighborhoods (e.g. Richmond) instead of the ones everyone knows (e.g. Hawthorne... not an official neighborhood, so it's not on the map!)
The SF poster is way better because we don't have official neighborhood boundaries like Portland does, so they didn't try to cram every little made-up neighborhood on there. Instead they used the 40 or so major neighborhoods that everyone knows.
