Seriously though Randy and Myers, you are not cowboys, you are a government. Start acting like it. Get some clear rules, enforce them equally and people will respect your work. Single out people you don't like, based on dubious statistics and enforce them on an ad hoc basis and people will think you are a bunch of thugs. The choice is clear.

I have to say good job to Leonard on this. We all want a flexible, adaptable and effective government, not a bunch of lifeless rule-following robot bureaucrats.

I think some people are attracted to the idea of a perfectly black and white reductionist world with absolute rules. I have never seen the real world work that way. Maybe it works that way on paper, or in the blog world...
