Duh. Post pictures of cats. Duh.

At first I was hopeful you were reporting on the hearing, but now it sounds like you're sitting in your office sniping at another reporter who took the time to venture beyond City Hall to report on something. C'mon, Matt... you can do better.
3
For clarification: I can't. But thanks for the pep talk.

Maus and everyone else who backed Adams because they agreed on his statements on policy issues that were willing to overlook his history on character, open government, and efficacy issues are going to keep on taking hits, like a drunken frat boy in the ring with Mike Tyson.

By the time June rolls around, the only people in town standing next to Adams will be B-list musicians, one term nurses turned politicians, and a few hack writers from Seattle who never got over being touched in their special place by a priest.

Enjoy your rewards, you naive idiots. You've been played.

Jonathon Maus is not a reporter as reports typically maintain some level of objectivity, he's a propagandist who is is perfectly agreeable with child molesters as long as they support riding a bike around. We'll see if his attitude still holds when his own kids are of mentoring age.

Am I missing something here?

I would love to know what Matt's post or my reporting on the Idaho Stop law or the CRC has to do with Mayor Adams.

I'm a propagandist? Hmm. Logan 5, name calling is easy but can you please back that up with some evidence?

I really don't get the connection between my reporting, Sam Adams and me being "perfectly agreeable with child molesters as long as they support riding a bike.." that's actually so ridiculous it sort of makes me chuckle.

And Matt, I have calmed down. Damn it!

i have to say that it's bulls!t like this that makes me fire up the mercury website less and less often. i'm not sure where davis thought he was going with on this post but it only comes across as bitter and petty.

"Note to readers: Maus got very sensitive when we wrote that he was "disappointed" in Mayor Sam Adams' vote on the Columbia River Crossing last month, based on a conversation we quoted. We ended up changing the word "disappointed" to say "is reflecting on". I just wanted to see if Maus has calmed down a bit since then."

Passive-agrressive hack is passive-aggressive. Way to go Merc; it's money well spent.

Do you guys have some sort of inside information that the Willamette Week is going out of business? I heard that they are making employees bring their own coffee from home but hadn't realized that it was so bad there that you are now trying to figure out some other media outlet to start an unnecessary feud with...

My cat's breath smells like cat food.

Willy Week 'reporter' Matt Davis has been sittting in his office watching other people do actual reporting on the Internet. Bottom line: This guy has nothing better to do.

But the question we're asking at home is: Are you "disappointed" Matt, that your newspaper is going to die soon along with all the others?

Note to readers: Matt is obviously completely insensitive and never learned the Golden Rule as a child, so don't bother trying to explain common courtesy to him. I just wanted to see if Davis will ever do any real reporting and stop throwing verbal rocks at others.

Maus is sort of like the FOX News of biking. He's always protesting that he's a serious, objective "journalist" but is constantly advocating and out-and-out cheerleading for his agenda. Even when I agree with him on the issues he's blogging about, I feel like puking when he strikes a pious or rah-rah tone. He actually encouraged people to flood KBOO with calls and e-mails when it looked like the station was going to cut its bike show. And when he wrote about the station changing its mind, he actually signed off with, "Way to go, guys!" There's that serious journalist that's he going out of his way to convince people he is, but he isn't. He's always catching rides and promoting the agendas of the people with whom he agrees. If there's a car-bike crash, it's automatically the car's fault, regardless of whether the police have released the facts. He's often pompous, subliminally suggesting that the mainstream press doesn't get bike issues and his site is the only trusted place for bike news.
Yep, Fox News. Or is it Fixie News?

Please wait...
