We see this every Tuesday night at Club Calabash (SW 2nd & Taylor) in downtown Portland. A packed house every week, and one of the regular poets is a disabled vet that just got out of the Army a year ago. None of the local press cover the night even with 100+ people there each week. Hmm, could it be because its mainly a black crowd? I think so.
