Hey Ezra,

How many people does it hold?

And do they have bartenders etc working the events?

(I suppose these are things I could ask the events booker, but WHY when I can ask it in the comments of a blog post?)

I think the capacity is still up in the air. As for bartenders, I assume they'll have them as well. If you email me, I can give you their contact info.

I was all ready to predict the closure of this venue before it opened, but looking at the building on Google Maps makes me think it might have a good chance of making it.
The location has lots of parking, no (visible) neighborhood riff-raff & appears to be far enough from the neighbors where sound won't be a major issue.
Now if they can book the right artists to get the lazy westsiders to cross a bridge, I see this as being a great addition to the music scene.

not to be an eastside-bigot, but why is the presence of westsiders necessary for this venue to be successful? plenty of us on this side of the river.

I totally agree with you, T-Rexa.

I've lived in Sellwood for three years, and rarely venture west simply because there is so much to do in SE. I think The Woods will thrive here, and finally challenge the hipster assumption that there is nothing cool south of Powell. Can't wait!

Please wait...
