"Hass asked the Senate to send the bill to committee and to make its tax increases temporary."

Hahaha... when has any tax or tax increase ever been temporary? We're still paying the federal excise tax on phone bills to help fund the Spanish-American war... or, uh... get us out of the Great Depression... er...

Great, as a Corporate Exec (HA) it is awesome that the $0.00 profit I make each year will cost me $100. I should really strive to make $10,000,000 so that I will only be taxed .075%!!! Is this really what people want? Many small businesses are corporations for liability reasons and not to dodge taxes (we are taxed ~50% of every dollar we bring in even though we don't make a corporate profit). The $10 minimum was for people like us who don't make a profit, the $10 is so that the person who processes the return can be paid for the time it takes them to process it. Rather than increasing that minimum to $100, why not increase the tax base for the 5% of Oregon corporations that make over $10,000,000?

Please wait...
