Sorry ma'am but your son has a thing for MUCH older men and did not consider the implications of his pursuance of a public figure.............also where the hell were you when he decided to pose nude as part of his media-leave-me-alone campaign???

Awesome, Abusive, taking a mean spirted swipe at Beau's mom!! That is really going to impress the trivia crowd!

If I may, keep in mind that Beau did his "modeling" when he was an adult. We can lay off mom for the posing nude, doubt she has a whole lot of input as to what her ADULT son is doing.

No one forced Sam into a relationship that began when Beau was 17. By all accounts several people warned Sam that this would be a very poor idea, he didn't seem to care. Is Sam so weak that he should not be blamed for any of this? Is this the Mayor you want? One that doesn't pay his debts, has inappropriate relationships (his words) and is just in general a total and complete F' up?

Haha. Who was "naive and trusting?" Beau!? Anyone who was around Sam and Beau during that time should have been able to figure out what was going on, anyone with any common sense and knowledge, that is. Who thought that Beau was so precocious and mature that Sam was interested in him merely for friendship? Gimme a break.

It's unfortunate that Beau has become a locus of negative publicity, but he didn't exactly spurn the spotlight at the outset of this thing.

Well, that's why 45+ year old men dating teens, even if they are of legal age shows bad judgment and lack of character. Teens are different than "adults"- social skills, physical development and mental maturity being just a few things that differentiate the young uns' from the old ones. Or they should. A 45+ year old should know better. Who the hell hasn't done stupid crap and made bad decisions when they were 17, 18, 19 and even 21 years old?

But a 45 year old, especially one in such an "esteemed" role of power in the public eye? What a friggin' idiot.

And good for Beau's Mom. You tell 'em. If there is one thing I've learned over the years, you do not screw with Moms. They have the ultimate power when it comes to fiercely protecting their offspring. If I were Adams I wouldn't be afraid of the Attorney General. I'd be afraid of Beau's Mom.

Sam's quite a man, allowing his political allies and attorneys to trash a kid, just like he used them to trash Ball, a potential political opponent. Must be nice to have so much power.

Never mind that Sam called Beau 40+ times on his cell phone and got what he wanted - no, powerful Commissioner Sam was the victim of an evil opportunistic teenager.

If Sam were a real man, he would have submitted the resignation letter he wrote and relieved Portland of this mess. But no, his ego allowed his self-serving followers, who donated money and time to his campaign, to convince him not to resign, so the could save face and feed their own egos and not have to live with the fact that the first openly gay mayor of large US city is a just another self-serving lying politician.

Sam, you were misled by the wrong people. Your gut instinct to resign was correct. You should have listened to it. Now you're forced to trash another human being to justify your lies and deceit.

It's not too late Sam. You can still resign. Your flip-flopping on the issues shows you have no credibility or political capital - you're a typical politician doing whatever he needs to do to survive rather than actually leading. You are alienating your constituency and dividing your city.

Please wait...
