I'd suggest grouping your styles, so you can identify differences in the style between brands. Ie, instead of week 1 being stout/hefe/ipa/porter/amber, go ipa/ipa/ipa.... At least until you start sweating hops.

Sounds like a fun month, keep us posted on what you try!

The best beer being brewed in Oregon right now are coming out of Ninkasi. Their Spring Rain is a good place to start for those who aren't hop heads.

Also, Oregonians! Behold! A veritable pantheon on beer styles that don't taste like bitter grapefruit! Try them once or twice; you might be surprised.

pretty good idea. My additions:

Week 1: IPA/Lager
Week 2: Hef/Wheat
Week 3: Red/Amber
Week 4: Porter/Stout

Monday - Laurelwood
Tuesday - Rogue
Wednesday - Deschutes
Thursday - Hopworks
Friday - Ninkasi

If a brewer doesn't have a beer in that week's particular style, internet suggestion time.

Now, if we could find someone to sell mixed 6 packs for each week, we could have a beer club, like a book club, but much shorter than Infinite Jest.

I'll drink beer every day in July. That sounds to me like a good goal.

I'm more of a spirits person, myself, but I highly recommend the Fearless Scotch Ale (http://www.fearless1.com/).

I'll be honest; I think I might have drank beer everyday in June. Well, not yet today... But I'm sure it'll happen. PAC should announce what beer he's trying that day and we all tag along with that beer.

Also, FayBoy... You forgot Saturdays and Sundays. Maybe Bridgeport and Full Sail respectively.

This is getting exciting...

I agree with Graham right now about Ninkasi, but the Spring Rain I tried was really bad. I'm more into their Triceratops, the double IPA, but that might be a bit too much for someone who isn't a hop head.
If you're looking to sneak in two beers a night, and want to check out the actual bar's, I'd recommend heading to SE and going to Roots Brewery, which is near 7th and Hawthorne, and after that going to the Lucky Lab Brewery which is on 9th and Hawthorne.

@Rusty, was the Spring Rain you tried out of a bomber or on tap? It's a session style ale. You can drink it all night long and your tongue doesn't turn into a pine cone. Definately not made for hop heads.

Amnesia's Copacetic IPA
Old Lompoc's Sockeye Cream Stout
Laurelwood's Tree Hugger Porter

Mirror Pond is a great beer to start on.

Caldera Dry Hop Red is my current favorite beer.

Ninkasi's Radiant Summer Ale is my new summer jam, I think.

Please wait...
