Oh man I'm getting out the inevitable Ben Gay for my neck going in 1000 circles!

hey now!
2
Yeah, because we don't already have one of the only velodromes in the US.

There's a funky v-track at Alpenrose behind the quarter-midget track.

Could we have a perfect bowl shape, spun from stainless steel, with 40 foot slopes, then roller derby, motorcycles, bikes, hammer dulcimer teams, skaters, post modern buddhists, and remote control dragsters could let loose. Could it be rung like a bell? Put a ten foot diameter 'penalty hole' in the bottom center of the bowl with a wide downward tube to roll flounderers out into the Willamette.

Wow, what convincing arguments you make!
5
How did I guess from only reading the headline that it would somehow involve bikes?
6
I luvs it! This is probably the best idea yet.
7
See the 2 dozen people in the pic? That's how many will show up. Great use of millions, instead of for a AAA ballpark that'll actually be used by the public. Smarties.
8
Suggested it years ago!

The track bike / fixie craze is welllllll past its expiration date. Pass.
10
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb.

What will this cost? $20 or $30 million? It's a waste of taxpayer dollars. A waste I tell you. I can't believe Sam and Randy would get us in this boondoggle. Where's Jack Bogdanski to ridicule Sam and Randy for even considering this waste of taxpayer money.

See what I did there?

Stupidity knows no bounds.

And if Brian Libby and his gang of angry architects think that the Historical Preservation thing is going to go down without a major fight they are in for a nasty surprise.

Nickyrobo,

But what about the black neighborhood you were so worried about worried about is the past where the rose garden is today? You are such a fucking hypocrite.

Nickyrobo thinks bikes>African Americans.

You are a such a racist bitch.

It's a 250k addition to what would be a MULTI USE area. Like having a track in a park or a rose garden, or baseball field (little league). This is NOT the 20million dollar project that a new minor league field would have cost.

Please wait...
