I keep the cheap beer in our kitchen fridge for those that don't really appreciate the better stuff, and then have good beers in a separate fridge for the others. Also, when I buy beer to share, I get 22 ounce or 750ml bottles so everyone gets a decent pour. When the beer dorks separate from the rest of the group, there's "thoughtful drinking" going on for sure. The good thing about being a beer dork is that it can't really impact your social life too much though. After a couple good beers, your palate and attention span suffer, and you go back to the party and start drinking PBR with the rest of your guests.
