Miranda, I first saw it on your twitter! You know, I work at a newspaper, and I totally don't think crowd-sourced news can ever be an effective replacement for traditional reporting, or anything, but that said, I kinda feel like I wouldn't mind having a beer at Valentine's at around 11, like whatever, I'm just hanging out downtown on a Tuesday, and then since I'm in the area anyway, well... would it hurt to stop by?
Right, I know. I have an awful cold though and am debating whether or not it is worth sacrificing my health to stay up late and maybe be suckered in to NOT seeing Dave Chappelle. Should I be a grown up? Or not? The great debate.
I believe it enough to pack up my camera gear and go down there at midnight just in case. I saw him in seattle a few years back and it was amazing. This will be equally amazing if it's true....
It could be awesome just to stand around with a couple hundred (or more?) people in the square at midnight, collectively feeling duped. Then we all shake heads, high five, and go out for another beer.
i just talked to the head of the square and he said that no permits were pulled for an event, the square closes at midnight, so anyone that shows up will be asked to leave

It's true I went. I went there at 11:15 when hardly any one was there yet and by 1 am I was gone. I'm just about to get in my car when someone on a cell phone walks by and says he is there. I went back. I was practically on the stage, opposite side of him, none the less practicall on the stage and couldn't hear him. The only thing that seemed to be going on were the naked people standing on the starbucks roof! Haha
I liked Dave Chappelle more when he was an actual comedian who did, like, stuff, instead of the mythical unicorn he's become since his Comedy Central show mysteriously collapsed.

It would be a smart place for a taco truck to be.
Just sayin'.
Nope, that was definitely on my end.
@carissa
my thinking exactly. if that's a worst-case scenario? i'm okay with that.
