It's funny how seeing a beer everywhere can make you overlook it sometimes. Some of the highest rated beers in the world are half rated because of their quality, and half by their scarcity. The "best beer in the world" is a beer that is not distributed outside of the brewery it's made in, in a relatively remote portion of Belgium. I traveled there to drink it, and it was fantastic, but I can't help but think it would be further down the list if it weren't so damn difficult to get a hold of. The second highest rated is never bottled, and produced in minimal quantities, once a year in the bay area. Again, great, but I wouldn't buy it all the time if it was suddenly available whenever I wanted it. Oregon has a lot of fantastic beers that people forget about because we've been spoiled by their presence. Bridgeport IPA is a tasty beverage.
