John Irving is the best thing that's happened to me in my life, as a reader. Actually I began reading a-lot of Kurt Vonnegut when I was 12 or 13. What I got from him was his great humanity; the golden rule type of thing. What a humane person he was, and how I cried for days when he passed. Then along comes John Irving and just blows my mind with his talent! I could NEVER not purchase a John Irving novel. I have already ordered In One Person. It will be on it's way via UPS the day it's released. This was an enjoyable interview. I wonder if Mr. Irving realizes how very much his novels mean to some of us?
