Yeah. The Conan appearance on T-giving was the best thing on Conan since he took over the Tonight Show. This new playhouse song does come off pretty bad though.

I think it's possible that there's simply something about Pee Wee that's just not funny anymore.
I recently tried watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure - a movie I once loved - and it irritated the crap out of me for some reason. And yeah, I saw the Leno interview, too and found it weirdly pathetic, but I initially attributed it to him being on Leno. Maybe there's something else missing.

I think it's sad. I used to watch Pee Wee's Playhouse and back then it was rad. This just seems kind of creepy and pathetic. I also seriously doubt Laurence Fishburne is going to come back as Cowboy Curtis. Oh well, guess some things should just stay in the past.

It's quite possible - hear me out, this is a pretty radical theory - but it's possible that the reason you all no longer find Pee-Wee Herman awesome or rad or funny, is that you are no longer children.

Pee wee was always a little creepy and pathetic . . . that was his charm. The original PW playhouse was perverse and adult themed . . . It seems like he's bringing that style back with his funnyordie video.

I think what's more pathetic are the writers for the Mercury. They hate on everything the report on. ( maybe they don't now . . . I've turned away from their paper because their staff writes like a bunch of apathetic high schoolers.) Like they're above all their subject matter. It doesn't make sense . . . one gets a job being paid to write - a job millions of people would love to have and they take a shit on everything with their bad attitude . . . kind of like what I'm doing right now. . . probably because I'm commenting on the Mercury.
