Your second place design pick (which was my first pick) wasn't Anthony's, it was Amy Sarabi's. I'm no fashion douche, but I loved how it held true to the challenge and made me really feel like a MAN. A man in a pretty burlap, flower...but a man nonetheless.
Yeah, I liked Amy's best, too. I think the key to wowing in challenges is to give the feeling you're elevating the original fabric, not disguising it. If you can make a nice dress out of banana leaves that's amazing, but if you can do it and still make it clear that they're banana leaves then that's amazing-er.
