This month the US quietly doubled military aid to Israel. Nice that when Americans are suffering, we still can find hundreds of millions to give to a violent colonial state!

So what's your beef, @D? Who's making the harder decision? The person who puts herself in danger's way in order to bring American media attention to an issue most people here don't even want to discuss? Or the person who snidely and anonymously dismisses her on the internet?

@pdx99: Israel is the 3rd largest receiver of US [government] aid money, after Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course, counted in aid money is money given to Blackwater to protect the state department and the like, where as the aid money that goes to Israel actually benefits Israel, but they use it to buy American made military equipment, so...

Well if I were a small coastal nation surrounded by an entire region who want nothing more than to see me wiped off the face of the planet, I'd probably spend quite a bit on military defense as well.
