So government health care will either eliminate private medicine jobs (via inability to compete) or FORCE people to go broke buying insurance is the solution?
Health insurance is expensive BECAUSE of government, not despite it.
Well, just because it's administered by the government doesn't mean it's free. Don't countries with nationalized healthcare tax corporations to help pay for it?
Countries with nationalized healthcare pay for it through taxes (which tend to be high), so Republicans wouldn't go for that either. There just aren't any options that would be palatable to both sides -- if you remove the burden from the employer you just place it on the taxpayer.
