What, everyone is shocked Haim is dead? It's not like he was Alex Winter or something. I honestly thought he was dead already, but I guess that was the guy from Seaquest. If someone asked you yesterday how you feel that Corey Haim is still alive what might you say? I mean, the guy from Gremlins is still alive but no one seems to care.

I agree with Marq to a certain extent. I knew Haim was still alive (he was on some daytime television reality show recently, I think), but it was more shocking to me that he actually made it to the age of 38.

It is troubling to hear, however. I know he had been battling with drugs for like, ever, and recently he had gone to great lengths with rehab and was actually doing pretty well.

So sad...

Marq, when did the issue become whether we're shocked or not by his death?

He was in a bunch of movies that I really like - Lost Boys, License to Drive, Lucas, Dream a Little Dream 2 (jk...). And I knew he had mondo drug issues for years (remember when he sold his teeth and hair on ebay?), but I was always rooting for him to get better! And I'm sad that he's dead. To quote a commenter from the People Magazine site: "His acting gave me much pleasure over the years. RIP Corey."

There's only one Corey left now...

Yes, but this is his finest effort:

I saw it first as part of one of the Found Footage Festivals. I especially like it when he displays his fine musical talents.

Please wait...
