Here's another idea - tax PUBLIC TRANSIT RIDERS to pay for public transit.

Transit riders already pay a tax on their transit use. It's called a "fare."

I'd rather levy a tax on public transit riders to subsidize beer.

It was an awesome time, and it was nice meeting you Mirk (but who am I?). Anyhow, I'm very proud of the fact that Bill handily won a majority of support from some of Oregon's most active and (therefore) influential organizers. This race is going to be interesting.
